       On behalf of the Editorial Board and our entire readership, welcome to the Story of the Day's (SoD) Virtual Editorial Boardroom.  Every day, for over four years now, scores of articles have passed through the SoD Tower and Satellite Offices   detailing the misery and glory of the human condition, the ambitions of everyday people and the perplexing challenges we create for ourselves and beloved others.  Most often they involve people who, either as principals or accessories, express themselves in word and deed in manners which often appear baffling, if not downright stupid.  

        Following close consideration -- and upon an entry meeting select, scrutinizing standards -- the Board accolades one distinguished story the coveted SoD honors; attempts to provide each an introduction of relevant, worthy merit; and brings it to our valued subscribers.  While at times you will amuse alongside our spirited protagonists, on other occasions you'll pain in their heartache and abysmal misfortune.  Whichever, we feel confident these stories will make a positive and meaningful difference in your life, as they have done ours.
